Biography of Dr. Carl McLaughlin, Ed.D

Dr. Carl McLaughlin has pastored Calvary Pentecostal Church since 1996. Dr. McLaughlin earned his Master of Arts in Leadership at Hope International University and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family (in progress) from Liberty University. He also holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) with a concentration in Leadership from Liberty University. His extensive experience in leadership and pastoral ministry brings deep understanding of the complexities of church leadership and pastoral well-being. His approach is spiritual, confidential, and rooted in biblical principles and pastoral care.

Dr. McLaughlin is the author of Standing Strong in the Storm: An Exposition of I, II Peter, and co-authored Lead Yourself Well. He is a certified Prepare/Enrich Trainer who equips pastors, pastors’ wives and lay leaders to become facilitators of the Prepare/Enrich marriage assessment tool. He is the founder and President of North Texas Christian College and founder of Masterpiece Counseling and Leadership Growth. Primary service offerings will focus on Apostolic guidance, exclusively to pastors, ministry leaders, and their immediate families, as well as premarital and marital counseling. This will address ministerial challenges, leadership development, spiritual burnout, and family dynamics within the context of ministry life.
