Biography of Marissa Cooney
Marissa Cooney graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with an expected graduation date of August 2025.

With a diverse professional background in finance and administration, Marissa has spent several years working with the small business community in Central Texas. Her internship at a private counseling facility in San Antonio allowed her to provide counseling services to both teenagers and adults. Marissa believes that mental health is interconnected with physical and spiritual well-being. As such, she approaches counseling from a holistic perspective, giving equal attention to all aspects of a client's life.

In addition to her professional work, Marissa is actively involved in her church’s outreach program in Austin, Texas, where she ministers locally within the greater Austin community. She is deeply committed to reaching others with the love of Jesus. As a counselor-in-training, Marissa is passionate about helping individuals unlock their full, God-given potential in all areas of life.
